What is a follow up head lice screening?
A follow up head lice screening (aka Head Check) is a complimentary 5-10 minute appointment. They are offered to anyone that has received our full service lice removal treatment. This appointment is scheduled at the time of treatment and typically occurs 7-10 days after initial treatment is provided.
Why do we offer follow up lice screenings?
We made the decision to offer complimentary follow-up lice screenings for one simple reason. We found ourselves being approached by families that wanted to make sure they were still “in the clear” during their treatment guarantee period. Our initial plan was to offer these free follow up lice screenings for just a month to see how it went. As a result of the feedback we received, two years later our customers still love them!
Is a follow up lice screen required for lice treatment guarantee?
Nope! We offer one free follow up head check per person. We schedule this appointment at the time of treatment and simply ask for you to show up during your assigned time. If for whatever reason you miss the appointment, no worries! An additional follow up check can be scheduled on your behalf, but a regular head check fee will apply.
How is our treatment considered “One Treatment” if we offer a follow up?
A follow up head lice screen appointment is not a treatment and is optional. We simply check to make sure nothing has crawled back onto the head and that your still lice free. We’ve found that a majority of people appreciate knowing that their lice treatment investment is still working and protected.
What do you do if lice is found during a follow up?
We treat and get rid of it! As long as the guarantee period is still valid, and as long everyone in the household has been checked and treated if necessary, we’ll retreat for free.
